About the Role We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Compliance Officer to establish and manage our global product compliance function. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives on creating structure, improving processes, and ensuring products meet international regulatory requirements.
You will work closely with the business leadership to oversee compliance across multiple global markets, coordinate with manufacturers and testing laboratories, and build scalable compliance systems that support the company's continued growth.
Key Responsibilities - Manage end-to-end product compliance across multiple international markets, including Europe, the UK, the US, and other regions.
- Prepare, review, and maintain:
- Product labels and packaging artwork
- Carton markings
- Technical documentation
- Declarations of Conformity and regulatory files
- Coordinate product testing and certification with manufacturers and accredited laboratories.
- Define testing requirements and ensure certifications are completed accurately and on schedule.
- Liaise with suppliers to obtain:
- Regulatory documentation
- Test reports
- Product certificates
- Compliance declarations
- Monitor changes in international regulations and provide guidance to stakeholders on compliance requirements.
- Develop and improve internal compliance processes, documentation, templates, checklists, and workflows.
- Maintain organized compliance records and document management systems.
- Support supplier compliance activities and Quality Management System (QMS) documentation.
- Assist with sustainability and ESG reporting requirements where applicable.
- Work closely with leadership to establish a proactive, scalable compliance framework.
Qualifications
Must-Have Requirements - Proven experience in Product Compliance, Regulatory Affairs, Quality Assurance, or a similar role within manufacturing or consumer products.
- Experience working directly with manufacturers, suppliers, and accredited testing laboratories.
- Strong knowledge of international product compliance regulations and standards, including several of the following:
- CE
- UKCA
- FCC
- UL
- RoHS
- REACH / SVHC
- WEEE
- CPSIA
- FDA
- GSPR
- PPWR
- EUDR
- LFGB
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong documentation abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a remote work environment.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Process-oriented mindset with the ability to create and improve systems.
- Proactive approach with excellent follow-up and stakeholder management skills.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications - Experience within consumer products, electronics, lighting, or similar manufacturing industries.
- Knowledge of sustainability reporting and ESG initiatives.
- Experience with ISO standards and Quality Management Systems (e.g., ISO 9001).
- Experience collaborating with global teams across multiple time zones.
- Familiarity with document management and collaboration platforms.
- Experience leveraging AI tools to improve documentation, research, or compliance workflows.

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (flexible but has at least 6 hours overlap with UK time zone)
