QA Automation Engineer

Overview
We are seeking an experienced Automation QA Engineer to join our team and take ownership of quality assurance across our cloud-based applications. This role requires someone who can hit the ground running, contribute immediately, and operate effectively in a fast-paced, delivery-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and test suites
• Execute functional, regression, and integration testing across cloud environments
• Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to ensure quality across the SDLC
• Identify, document, and track defects through to resolution
• Support rapid release cycles and ensure deadlines and quality standards are consistently met
• Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, tools, and methodologies
• Work with modern AI-assisted development tools to enhance testing efficiency and coverage
• Act as a QA orchestrator, working within established QA processes to reduce manual effort across the team by introducing and scaling AI-driven approaches
• Continuously improve and evolve existing AI-enabled QA workflows, incrementally increasing speed, efficiency, and overall team productivity

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 3+ years of experience in QA, with a strong focus on automation in cloud environments
• Proven experience with Playwright (Selenium acceptable, but Playwright strongly preferred)
• Exposure to agentic AI tools such as Codex, Claude, or similar
• Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Experience working in fast-paced environments with tight release schedules
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate issues and collaborate across teams

Desirable

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and test integration
• Familiarity with modern cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Experience working in agile/scrum teams
