Job Summary

take ownership of complex Drupal development across our enterprise web estate.

Job Description

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Drupal Developer to join our team and take ownership of complex Drupal development across our enterprise web estate. This role goes beyond configuration—you will be responsible for building production-ready custom modules, integrations, and scalable solutions while following established engineering, security, and release practices.
The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience with Drupal 10/11, headless/decoupled architecture, custom module development, enterprise integrations, and multi-site environments.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain production-grade Drupal applications, with a strong focus on custom modules and business logic rather than configuration alone.
  • Design and implement custom Drupal solutions using custom entities, hooks, event subscribers, services, plugins, and dependency injection.
  • Build and maintain headless/decoupled Drupal implementations, including API-driven content delivery and integrations.
  • Work closely with the development team through daily standups, ticketing workflows, Git branching, code reviews, and established release processes.
  • Participate actively in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and incorporating feedback from other developers.
  • Develop and maintain integrations with enterprise CRM, ERP, collaboration, identity, and other third-party systems.
  • Implement and support multi-site content architectures, including site-scoped roles, permissions, and content models.
  • Configure and maintain content workflows, moderation, scheduled publishing, revisions, and editorial governance at enterprise scale.
  • Implement and maintain multilingual content architectures, including translation workflows, localized metadata, URL aliases, and language fallback rules.
  • Develop and support SSO and federated identity integrations, including SAML and OpenID Connect, with support for just-in-time provisioning where required.
  • Optimize Drupal applications for performance, scalability, and reliability, including Redis, reverse proxy/CDN caching, database query optimization, and API performance.
  • Maintain Docker-based local development environments, Git workflows, and configuration management as code.
  • Ensure all custom modules and integrations are properly documented and maintained to handover standards from day one.
  • Follow strict security practices, including regular patching, role-based access control, audit trails, secure credential management, and ensuring no secrets are committed to source code.
  • Identify and escalate technical blockers promptly, with significant blockers communicated to the team on the same day.
  • Contribute to technical discussions and help establish best practices for Drupal development, security, performance, and maintainability.
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of professional Drupal development experience, including at least 2 years working with Drupal 10 or Drupal 11.
  • Strong hands-on experience with custom Drupal module architecture and development.
  • Proven experience delivering decoupled or headless Drupal solutions.
  • Experience with JSON and GraphQL, including API authentication and authorization.
  • Experience with token-based authentication and API security, including per-client rate limiting.
  • Strong understanding of Drupal entities, hooks, event subscribers, services, plugins, and dependency injection.
  • Experience designing multi-site Drupal architectures, including site-scoped roles and permissions.
  • Portfolio demonstrating at least two headless/decoupled Drupal implementations.
  • Strong experience with workflows, content moderation, scheduled publishing, revisions, and enterprise editorial governance.
  • Hands-on experience with Drupal multilingual capabilities, including translation workflows, per-locale metadata, URL aliases, and language fallback.
  • Experience integrating Drupal with SSO and federated identity solutions, particularly SAML and/or OpenID Connect.
  • Experience integrating Drupal with enterprise CRM, ERP, collaboration, and other business systems.
  • Strong performance optimization experience, including Redis, reverse proxy/CDN caching, and database/query optimization.
  • Experience with Docker-based development environments, Git, branching strategies, and configuration management as code.
  • Strong written and spoken English, with the ability to produce clear technical documentation and communicate directly with technical stakeholders.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
  • Experience with Drupal AI, AI Search, or RAG/Search-related Drupal modules.
  • Exposure to Kubernetes and containerized production environments.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.
  • Experience integrating Drupal with OpenSearch or Elasticsearch.
  • Experience delivering large-scale Drupal platforms for government, institutional, education, healthcare, or public-sector organizations.
Working Arrangement
  • Work Setup: Homebased
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday
  • Working Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Philippine Time
  • Employment Type: Full-time
