Job duties & expectations:
Bookkeeping
Logging into Clients' bank accounts to download and record banking activity in the accounting software.
Preparing AJE's as needed to close out accounting periods.
Preparing bank reconciliations for all bank and credit card accounts in accounting software
Multi-tasking & Organized - work will be handled for many small business accounts and accountant/bookkeeper will be working on multiple accounts daily.
Accounts receivable will be a function on certain accounts. Accountant should know how to reconcile payments and make sure A/R balances are accurate. Most clients handle the invoicing and we just reconcile balances and payments against the A/R.
Monthly or Quarterly Financials directly from Quickbooks or prepared in Excel.
Strong accounting and analytical knowledge.
Accountant should have some tax knowledge to know how to record tax payments (payroll, corporate & sales tax) to proper accounts in accounting software.
Accountant should also be able to record payroll transactions into accounting software.
Accountant will be working on a wide scope of industries and have a general knowledge of account.
Accountant should be familiar with preparing payroll tax returns using in-house software or thru ADP, Paychex etc.
Accountant should be able to communicate directly with clients on any open items and provide daily/weekly update on status of open projects/jobs
 
Skills
QuickBooks desktop and the online version
Excel and Word
General computer skills a must
 
Work Location

• Home based work set up
• Monday to Friday; 10pm to 7am PH time (Night shift)
• Should have strong internet connection (minimum of 20 mbps)
• Should have own Laptop/PC (minimum of i5 8GB RAM)
