About the Role:
As a Funding Application Processor, you will play a key role in our dynamic team, contributing to the growth and profitability of our company by manually inputting new funding applications from small business owners into our loan management system. Additionally you will supplement the application with online research and will also make auto decline and pre-approval decisions based on our underwriting guidelines and policies.

Responsibilities:

Quickly and accurately manually enter funding application details (name, address, etc) into our loan management system
Gather missing application information from partner
Determine if the funding application should be auto declined, and if so, send an email to the partner who submitted the application
Issue pre-approval decisions using a detailed worksheet
Communicate progress and pacing to team members and supervisors
Analyze the cash flow of the business through business bank statements
At times may analyze data from various know your business (KYB) sources
At times may analyze data from various know your customer (KYC) sources
Conduct quick but thorough online research on the business owner and company
Determine quality of the online presence (website, reviews, etc)
Learn to detect and avoid fraud
May conduct occasional interviews with business owners
Provide ongoing feedback to make the underwriting process faster and higher quality
Quickly and efficiently summarize and explain decisions to management
Input notes into our loan management system

Requirements:

Fluent English
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
2+ years of experience.
Excellent communication and analytical skills
Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify inconsistencies in data
Proactive and hard working with a great attitude
Excited to join a fast growing fintech
