Job Description
The candidate must possess excellent phone, writing, and computer skills as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced deadline-oriented environment. This candidate must also be reliable and highly organized. This person must have the ability to handle confidential information.
Experience in a legal setting is preferred. Job duties: - Take/Place calls from/to Social Security Disability offices/Payment Centers/VA;
- Review/process incoming fee mail/faxes;
- Prepare time records for Social Security cases;
- Prepare fee petition forms and submit to appropriate SS office & copy client;
- Prepare appeal letters on cases where fees were reduced;
- Prepare appeal forms on cases where NA/other fee documents are inaccurate;
- Check Fee Agreement Order for proper fee decisions (denials/approvals)
- Prepare and send request for overpayment letters when necessary;
- Handle and complete daily tasks in Prevail;
- Follow up on payments from clients when necessary;
- Any additional tasks as needed to properly manage cases;
- Miscellaneous duties assigned by the supervisor as they may occur.
Work Location - Home-based
- Should have strong internet connection (minimum of 20 mbps)
- Should have own Laptop/PC (minimum of i5 8GB RAM)
