Key Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day purchasing operations.
  • Raise, track, and reconcile purchase orders in NetSuite, ensuring accuracy of quantities, pricing, and supplier details.
  • Monitor stock levels in coordination with warehouse and sales teams, maintaining optimal inventory without overstocking.
  • Liaise with suppliers (domestic and international) regarding lead times, pricing, shipping, and product availability.
  • Assist with import documentation, customs requirements, and freight coordination for international shipments.
  • Support supplier relationship management by maintaining up-to-date records, pricing agreements, and performance tracking.
  • Work closely with finance to reconcile invoices and resolve discrepancies between purchase orders and supplier statements.
  • Generate and analyse purchasing and inventory reports in NetSuite to support demand planning and budgeting.
Essential Requirements
  • Proven experience with NetSuite ERP - specifically purchase order management, item records, inventory, and reporting.
  • Minimum 2-3 years' experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain (food industry preferred but not essential).
  • Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Solid negotiation and communication skills with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Desirable Skills
  • Previous experience in the food importation, distribution, or FMCG sectors.
  • Understanding of international freight and customs documentation.
  • Knowledge of supplier compliance, QA documentation, and product specifications.
  • Analytical skills for reviewing purchasing trends, margins, and supplier performance.
