A logistics analyst, also known as a logistics systems analyst or supply chain analyst, is the person who analyses and coordinates the supply chain of a company. They streamline operations and identify the best way to use the company’s resources and achieve their short and long term goals. In essence, they oversee the entire supply chain, from purchasing materials, parts or products to managing inventories, distributions, shelf lives of fresh produce, and fulfilment of orders.
