Shootsta’s team is no stranger to outsourcing. They had previously leveraged business process outsourcing (BPO) to streamline their operations. We spoke with Ben Draycott-Jones, Operations Manager of Global Production at Shootsta to find out why the company chose to work with Outsourced.

The challenge

Scaling rapidly is a great problem to have if you can manage it correctly.

For the last decade, Shootsta grew from strength to strength, expanding its locations and platform offerings to reach people wanting video content that educates and converts. As the company scaled quickly, they soon found their production teams had to grow equally fast.

Finding reliable staff skilled in animation and video editing was crucial, but they had to minimise their labour costs. Draycott-Jones says this situation prompted them to search for a cost-effective solution — not that they had to look far.

The solution

When Shootsta was searching for an outsourcing partner, Outsourced happened to be in the process of acquiring Shootsta’s previous BPO vendor. Outsourced’s excellent reputation was all Draycott-Jones needed to get the conversation going. Much to his surprise, he discovered a wealth of video and animation talent in the Philippines, thanks to Outsourced.
